FREE IMUS

Free Imus

Are we really getting this thin skinned (did I just insult people with a scanty epidermis?)?
We used to call this breaking balls or busting chops ( oh my god someone might interpret that as me referencing a man’s testicles or maybe I insulted a pig or a lamb)(oh my god … I said oh my god – I probably insulted an atheist). The point being ( hope I didn’t insult anyone without a point) Imus is a comedian, he insults everybody (no offense to funny people).

Why is it that the Reverend duo do not take on multi-million dollar artists that routinely refer to “hos and black bitches” (no offense to female dogs). There are plenty of black comedians who routinely “take on the crackers, Asians and Latinos” (no offense to the cookie industry employees). What about the radio station Hot 97 and all their racist remarks (no offense to hot people)?

The real question is why is Imus such a coward (no offence to nambie-pambies)? Why is he going around apologizing? He did not do anything. Or is it like Al Roker says on his blog it depends on “who says it” (no offense to fat people).

Then you have the little chickens over at MSNBC that cancels Imus before his radiothon to raise money for cancer kids (no offense to turkeys and other poultry).

I can’t take it anymore, I think I’ll go puke (no offense to sick people).

UPDATE

CBS fires Imus. With the dynamic duo Reverends as speech police, America is doomed . Who is next – Howard – Opie & Anthony – maybe you – maybe me.

What do we do as citizens of this once great country of ours?

Boycott CBS?

Cleaning Motorcycle Exhaust

And the number one question is …

I recently went on a run with a nice young lady and noticed a lot of her shoe is now part of my motorcycle exhaust. What is the beat way to remove those scuff marks from chrome?

And the number one answer is …

Not Biker Wash. Next time have her wear wooden shoes.

Easy Off oven cleaner works well, but do not get any oven cleaner on your paint or the frame’s finish. With pipes warm, not hot, spray the cleaner on a rag and rub the scuffmarks gently, letting the cleaner do most of the work.

Goo Gone, Goo-b-gone or any of those goo removers works well also. Dap the cleaner of the scuffmarks with a rag or paper towel while the pipes are cold. If the melted rubber looks like mound of dirt, start the bike and let the pipes get to operating temperature. Then carefully, with a razor blade scrape off the mound, but do not touch the pipes with the razor. Let the bike cool then use the goo remover stuff.

Try Boms Away. Boms Away, a smooth liquid, not an abrasive paste, does not need the pipes to be hot and will not damage paint or chrome. Use it to polish Motorcycle aluminum wheels too.

If the above does not work, try WD-40 spray oil and #0000 steel wool. Let the oil soak in for a while before using steel wool. The wool will not damage the chrome as long as you use the finest grade.

Someone mentioned Amway Chrome Cleaner and said it worked great for cleaning motorcycle exhaust. I have never tried it, worth a shot if you know someone selling the stuff.

Cleaning Spoke Wheels

I cannot stand them for all the work involved, but a good friend of mine has been cleaning spoke wheels for 20 odd years now. To do a complete job requires some time, effort and a twelve pack. Last Saturday, I spent an afternoon with my good friend Raven cracking a few beers and watching him polish his spokes.

“I have found Simple Green and similar cleaners work well in most cases,” Raven informed me. “Spray-on foam engine cleaner works well on grease encrusted wheels. To do the job right, buy a spoke wheel brush. A good brush has bristles that are long at the handle and shorten down to a point at the other end giving a Christmas tree shaped tapered brush.”

The brush works great for getting in between the spokes and in to the hub. Also, save your old toothbrushes. Tooth brushes work well for cleaning around the spoke heads and hub flanges and at the spoke nipples. Long thin strips of cotton towels work well for
cleaning up the center of the hub inside the spokes. Once the spokes are clean, follow up the cleaning with a high quality wax this will preserve your hard work.

It takes a lot of work to keep a spoke wheel clean and in showroom condition, there are not any short cuts to the job – take your time and have a friend bring beer.

Glue Remover

Hi… I went on line to search on how to remove glue from a “leftover bumper sticker”…. Saw your website and read all your helpful hints…..!! *** How To Remove Adhesive *** I unfortunately did not have any of those things you mentioned in my home. But…. I remembered hearing something about Olive Oil and that it would remove glue residue.. it also takes off Oil based paints from your hands/skin instead of using paint thinner. Anyway…. I tried the olive oil on the residue and it actually took it off with no residue left. Of course you have to wash the area after… but it is harmless.
__Just thought you might want to add this to your list.

Have a great day!

Instructions are in English Only

I received this e-mail the other day:

From your website Biker Wash

“Instructions are in English only. If you can't read English, get a translator.”

You are discouraging patronage of non-English speaking customers by proclaiming that instructions are not bilingual or trilingual. I for one will never buy your products. I think you are discriminating and treating immigrants unfairly.

I was going to order some of your soap, because a lot of things about it make sense to me. But the "English only" business is pretty lame. I mean, I understand if the labels and direction HAPPEN to only be in English. But to make sure that "English only" is in bold and part of your advertising is pretty retarded. I know you probably couldn't give two shits about my opinion, and that's fine.

Nat

I wrote back:

Nat –

First of all I think you are full of shit – you had no intentions of ever buying our products – you probably don’t even own a motorcycle.

From emails we've received, for every one like yours, being against the "English Only" campaign, we get 5 that are from people that are sick and tired of bilingual.

Here on long Island, NY there is a big Hispanic influx, the public schools want to use taxpayer dollars to teach kids in Spanish, instead of them learning English. I think that is wrong.

I know a thing or two about this. I am first generation in the US. My parents came here after WW2. My parents didn't know a word of English - they learned and adapted to the American way of life - they did not demand special treatment.

Since my parent couldn't speak English, I was raised in my native tongue. When I started elementary school, I could not speak English fluently. But I learned, and I think all the immigrants should learn English.

As in most countries, the native language is the glue that binds the country together.
